Appointments and your first visit

How can I arrange an appointment?

Contact our team by telephone or WhatsApp. Share your main concern and preferred dates. Please wait for confirmation before treating an appointment time as booked.

What happens at the first assessment?

We discuss your concerns and health history, examine your mouth and take imaging if clinically needed. The dentist explains the findings, possible alternatives and the proposed next steps.

What information should I bring?

Bring a list of medicines, relevant health conditions and allergies, plus existing dental records or imaging if available. Mention previous treatment, implants and any experience of dental anxiety.

Can photographs give me a final treatment plan?

No. They can support an initial discussion and help identify useful records, but suitability and the final plan depend on examination and any necessary imaging.

Travelling to Istanbul

Should I book flights before speaking to the clinic?

Discuss the likely appointment sequence first. Treatment may involve several visits, healing or reassessment. Allow flexibility and confirm travel timing with the clinical team.

Can all dental treatment be completed in one trip?

Can I communicate in English?

Implants and restorative treatment

Is everyone suitable for dental implants?

No. General health, medicines, bone, gum health, bite and cleaning are assessed together. Suitability requires an examination and appropriate imaging.

How long does implant treatment take?

Is bone grafting always needed?

No. It is considered when the available bone and the planned implant position indicate a need. The decision is specific to the site and the restoration.

Does a cosmetic concern always require crowns?

No. Depending on the issue, monitoring, cleaning, whitening, bonding or orthodontics may be discussed. Preserving suitable natural tooth tissue remains an important consideration.

Whitening, children and comfort

Will whitening lighten my crowns or fillings?

No. Whitening affects natural teeth, not existing restorations. Their colour match needs separate consideration. See our whitening treatment page.

When should my child first see a dentist?

An early visit after the first teeth appear helps establish preventive care and familiarisation. Pain, injury or a concern should be assessed sooner rather than waiting for a routine visit.

Is root canal treatment painful?

Fees and care after you return home

How are treatment fees decided?

What aftercare should I arrange?

Before departure, request individual instructions, relevant records, contact details and a review plan. Clarify which concerns require an in-person visit and how care near home can be coordinated.

How often do I need check-ups?

The interval is based on risks such as decay, gum disease, implants and the type of restoration. Follow the schedule agreed for you rather than a universal rule.

What if I have an urgent problem?

Contact a dentist promptly for severe pain, swelling, trauma or persistent bleeding. Difficulty breathing or swallowing is an emergency: seek local emergency help immediately, without waiting for a message response or travel to Istanbul.
